Everyone is chasing dreams, money, respect and power
Who will pass the finish line and who will be destroyed
Some with high paying jobs while others unemployed
Would you rather be the one working minimum wage
Or a criminal who is caught and thrown in a cage
Either way you play your cards, you will make mistakes
Realize when it’s too late, it’s the wrong path to take
You can’t turn back around, only move ahead
Learn from your errors is what the older people said
It’s funny how they’ve been through similar situatioins
As the ones we go through filled with aggravation
And so they look at us like they’ve been there before
Laughing knowing they won’t be there no more
Cause they wiser, for they have lived much longer
What doesn’t kill you can only make you stronger
If you keep your faith you will one day receive

To achieve success brings about much stress. Ain’t that the truth. I wrote that poem so long ago and it still applies to life in this very day. It is like hearing the young eighteen year old me that this was to be expected, but if I continue to believe that I will achieve.
Several times in my twenties and so on, has this poem related to me and uplifted me at the same time. In circumstances that I am in today, it seemed so difficult sometimes, and I did not know what would happen even though I did. It’s a conundrum.
At the end of the day that poem still applies and makes a valid point. If you keep your faith then you will one day receive and experience what you can achieve if you believe.
To achieve success brings about much stress
