Baby Pearl and I were at the Houston Super Show 2023 with airbrush gear.

Today’s prompt is to describe a family member. I would say this little bundle of joy is just that, lots of joy and laughter. Not all moments are smiles but every moment is a blessing with Baby Pearl.

She is two years old, curious and full of wonder, and explorer. At the carshow we must have walked the whole area chasing a model car that was dancing and hopping. That was after she had been dancing and jumping. Lots of energy.

I have heard some say a baby cannot understand or communicate because they are a baby and so on. I have always disagreed and feel that I have been able to communicate with Baby Pearl telepathically sometimes. Sometimes with gestures, signs and movement. Even if her words are not ones that we recognize does not mean she is not communicating. Many times we are having fascinating conversations and inside jokes. I will give an answer in English that someone could understand and she will talk to me in her vocabulary keeping the conversation going. We talk like that since she was at least 6 months old.

With technology, she is learning so fast. I can see she has pattern recognition, alphabet and number recognition along with animals and the noises we use to simulate like a dog sound or a cat.

She is a child with a beautiful imagination. It is fun seeing her experience something for the first time. When she gets angry she is angry but it is temporary. She is learning and she is only two years old. I enjoy seeing her now and look forward to watching her development and growth continue as she is nearing three years.

Kids truly are a blessing.
