A year ago song “All About U” was released on YouTube

5.1k plays and I appreciate everyone who helped make it possible.

It has been a year since I started having our music distributed on DistroKid and the song “All About U” released on YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify and many other platforms has reached over five thousand plays on the YouTube channel. Checking out statistics can be interesting. A song we called the “Law of Attraction” was the song we thought was going to really be the dominant song but it wasn’t. And even though “All About U” has been played 5k times already, it is not the most favored song I have. Gotta love the fans that love mary jane and the song I have called “Everything Sounds Like Ching, Chang, Chong” which sounds like Cheech n Chong and so on. Fun stuff watching the favorites.

It has been a journey for me with many things going on in life and lately I went upside down for a minute. I’ve needed to recalibrate and even listen to the song myself a few times. Seems there is a message I need to think about again as life brings change and challenges. I began to question the direction I have been going. Not doubting myself, just questioning hard. The feeling of missing out on one important part of life could make someone question a decision or two, three or four or more.

I look at life from another lens and take the time to observe all the my friends and family have done to show appreciation for what I have done. Suddenly I see these paths open up and many opportunities coming fast or so it seems. We have been working on a few projects for a year and some for two or more. On the other end the challenges seem like they might create friction but it is all in our heads. It is hard to get out of your way and allow your light to shine sometimes. But here I am thinking about the cool new things I will be doing soon. I have to remember the song “It’s All About U” and go with it.

Not everything will feel positive but everything is an experience worth having. If it doesn’t feel good it is contrast to what we desire. Imagine then receiving the opportunities that sound great and thinking maybe I shouldn’t. The opportunities then seem to provide solutions to many issues I am facing currently including financially. So I have to ask myself why would I feel bad about doing bodyart if it is what I do and have been doing. And at the moment is providing more income than airbrushing on any other medium.

Everything is coming together. Music and art on canvases, murals on walls and cars, and body art. With so many things happening, it has been challenging keeping up with writing, but I enjoy having it a part of my journey to keep journaling as I go.
