Marvelous Experience of Writing

Today’s post: What do you enjoy most about writing.

Where am I today? There are many reasons why I enjoy writing. Getting lost in the moment of writing or typing. They do feel different. Both are important and play their role.

  1. Downloading Information

One of the powerful experiences from writing is channeling information. Receiving a download and expressing it in my writing (typing). This is one of the major differences between writing and typing. When I channel information, the information just flows. Trying to write down and keep up with the words that flow is a challenge. When I attempt to do it by hand on paper, I go from writing a nice paragraph to a messier handwriting as I try to keep up with my thoughts and ideas. I do enjoy carrying around a journal where I jot down systems, ideas, sketches, outlines, and notes from listening to a someone. Sometimes I get this urge to write down a message that I just seem to need to write. I don’t know why sometimes and I use that thought or parts of that writing session somewhere else. And that is an instance where I can tell it was something else compelling me to do so, and the handwriting is quite messy when I am in that state of channeling. Again, trying to keep up with thoughts as fast as they cross your mind can be quite a challenge and I would challenge anyone who hasn’t tried it, to try it out once.

When it seems I am channeling information and decide to type it, I am able to keep up much easier with the message I am receiving. Usually I am typing words as they are registering my brain and my fingers stroking the keys. This might answer the misspellings, grammar issues or mistakes that make a sentence not make sense, unless a word or two are corrected. I don’t correct much of it, though. Leave it as a senseless sentence. Auto correct is very helpful for me because I usually do not interfere with the channeling and tend to not edit my rough drafts too much. They are usually intended to be rough drafts. (Laugh out loud!) It is a challenge just trying to keep up word per word without trying to put in energy to make sure it sounds good or is typed properly. The story Traveling Trails is an example of a story. that I downloaded and typed without thought, just letting my fingers flow.

Most of the time when I am the author of a new post on this blog, it is when I am downloading information and typing it down. I find that when I take too long to analyze my work, I second guess everything till it is never finished. Never good enough. Not quite what I wanted. The mistakes that I catch keep being the center of attention. This could happen to me in either art, music or writing. I could “get in my way” as I usually put it when I try to explain it. I had to learn to allow energy to flow and let go. Release. Send. Post. Or call it complete. The mistakes and flaws are after all, part of the story. With all this auto correcting, it has a tendency to auto correct something incorrectly and I breeze through it and later after it is complete, go back and “damn near kick myself” for what I could call another blunder or huge mistake. Those are some of the challenges that keep writing enjoyable and fascinating to me, when it comes to downloading information and writing it.

2. Setting Systems

The second experience I enjoy in writing is evolving an idea that was in my head and bringing it into physical reality. This experience differs in that it requires more care to the entire process. Attention to how you word everything. In these instances, there is a power in writing by hand on a piece of paper. There is an art form in taking your time and writing your goals so carefully and neatly, almost as if it was printed. Each thought, each word is given an amount of attention and energy when writing it down, and reading it later. Short phrases work better than long “well written” sentences. Something like “Only available for best possible outcome” is all that is written. Short and sweet.

The energy behind a manifestation becomes even more when you take the desires that were written by hand and transferring them to a digital form, via typing on a computer or texting on a phone. Each process is an action towards the goal or idea that you are trying to reach. Writing where you are heading helps organize what you have accomplished and need to accomplish still. Even if you don’t keep the notes or papers where the tasks were written down. Our minds make mental note to mark that off in that note we wrote as a checklist. I think most of us would be amazed if we were to study the notes taken in the past and realize we manifested many of our thoughts into reality. Some take longer than others, but if they were written down, they have a higher chance of success, in my opinion and from my experiences.

3. Passing Down Stories

The third experience that brings me joy in writing, is the though of leaving parts of me to my grand children to read. To all my descendants and family interested in reading about my journey in life. I have a belief that there are patterns that occur in life. Some due to past lives. Some from family behaviors and environment. Many children end up making same or similar mistakes as their parents, grand parents, etc. How many times do we hear a mother say “you are just like your father!” We pass down encoded information and what I’ve heard called epigenetic memories through our DNA and RNA. But I believe that is only part of the equation. It is the question part that we are passing down through our genes. Like what does 1 plus 1 equal? and why am I the way that I am? If we write of our experiences, good or bad, then we can relate our experiences to future generations. We can write down what we learned from the choices we made, so if our children or descendants face a similar situation, they might enter or observe the situation with better knowledge to help make better decisions.

In my opinion again, if you whether you write it down or speak it, only have one story to tell, it is the one that you live and the story that you tell. It defines you. Then you repeat the cycle and you live the same response and you end up telling the same story. This pattern could happen in decades and probably not noticed if you don’t take the time to think about it. Especially considering in the first decade you were 1 – 10 years old. Most of the programming that you end up following through your adult life was set in those years!

It is important to tell the story and release that tension and pain somehow. It might take time and a few writes, but somehow get beyond that one story and live a new chapter in your book. Write your way out of the situation with a better outcome. At this point I get back to thinking about my second reason for enjoying writing. Start choosing words more carefully and manifesting a different story. Suddenly the two reasons combine, tell a better story for myself and for my descendants to read.

Therefore in my third experience, writing to my descendants, I enjoy the process both in writing by hand on journals I carry with me, and I enjoy typing them on platforms where someone interested in similar topics can participate in the reading and thought process. One thing that I enjoy is baby Pearl coming by and asking me what am I doing. I tell her the task I am doing. I am writing. Reading. Drawing. Typing. To her it is all drawing and ask why am I drawing again and eventually joins me. Even if she is not doing it yet, I am enhancing the thought of what is this writing and reading? We can’t get them off the phones now, and these games are teaching skills also. But I think it is important to learn from more than just games. Games are good. But so is writing and typing. Blogging and reading.

One question that I ask myself often is “How will they receive the information in the future?” I think it would be arrogant of me to think that they are going to read it just because I wrote it. Or that they will hear me just because I decide to speak. How will our future generations receive information?

4. Messages Through Space and Time

How will they accept the information we desire to give them? Will they want to read it? Will they be able to read? Will they listen to the songs? Can sound be banned? You might or might not believe this, but I’ve been asking that question since I was 13 and 14 years old. When I first decided that I wanted to rap or make lyrics. I wanted to tell stories with lessons. I sometimes wonder if in those days I wrote myself into the situation of being stabbed? Possibly. After that happening I wrote a poetry book about those experiences. When my daughter told me she wanted to do music, I told her all I can offer are these poems of my past stories. We could mix them with new stories from her point of view. This was one way I seemed to have stumbled into a way to pass down knowledge to the next generation. Be involved. Be flexible and willing to learn from them, and it might help get you heard on a different level, how they learn best. Through making music. Telling stories. Writing them down. Making poems. I think my 19 year old self wrote “making legends out this crazy life we choose to live.” Well I am studying to be a pilot now heading off to my next adventure. I’ve left music, art, poetry, writings and memories. I spend time listening and teaching when I get a chance.

I’ve talked about traveling the world several times. I’ve talked about becoming a pilot and flying the skies. These tasks are still developing, some slower than others. Slowly but surely, as the quote goes. Going off on this course mostly alone, a solo traveling artist or adventurous pilot, I might not seem my family tomorrow as much as I do today. I do my best to be grateful for today and enjoy the time we share. Write down memories and stories that might have gems with valuable lessons.

Those are my top three reasons for writing and enjoying the experience of doing so. I am curious, what do you enjoy about writing?
