Who do you blame?

It’s insane how many people get locked in the pen. What’s worse is they keep coming back again and again. It’s like they never learned that crime don’t pay. Locked for so long, we couldn’t steer another way. To us, a cell meant a meal and a sheltered home. The outside world became strange and unknown. Should criminals be blamed for going back to jail? When things for them out here weren’t going well. Rejected by society and employers for their past. How can you escape being considered an outkast. Don’t have a job, they won’t give you the opportunity and the bills aren’t getting paid unless you have money. Now I’m faced with the choice to do whatever it takes. There are no other choices, when you are broke, you break. After all, no one else will give you another lead. So you do what you have to, to get what you need. Don’t think about our survival needs as individuals. Plus, cops have a close eye on your for your previous crime. And they can’t wait to throw your butt in one more time. To the government, we are nothing more than dollar figures. They keep watching their pockets get bigger. Just like us, politicians are hateful and greedy. Not worrying about our peers who are starving and needy. Congressmen are cons and criminals with strong authority. They have the money to resist arrest constantly. For us living in poverty, it is not the same. We don’t have millions to hide the truth, so who do you blame?

So who do you blame for the things you do? While you point, all other fingers point to you. Parents are often blamed, and this is true. In the end it all comes back to you know who. Guardians are responsible for you until you are grown. Up until you can make wise decisions on your own. They tell you right from wrong, but you don’t listen, so what’s missing. They say it’s wrong to discipline our own kids, then blame the parents for what they did. No matter what you do, someone will always come along, tell you what you are doing is wrong. Listen to your heart and not those other voices. Their opinions are just distracting noises. How can they for an opinion without all the facts. You are a human bieng, and they can’t judge that. You are the only one that can fulfill your own fantasies. The one to blame for my actions is only me. The reality is that every man is his own man. Only that man can carry out his desired plans. If you do wrong, it’s your own soul to go up in flames. It was all in your hands, there is no one else to blame.
