To achieve success brings about much stress. Ain’t that the truth. I wrote that poem so long ago and it still applies to life in this very day. It is like hearing the young eighteen year old me that this was to be expected, but if I continue to believe that I will achieve.

Several times in my twenties and so on, has this poem related to me and uplifted me at the same time. In circumstances that I am in today, it seemed so difficult sometimes, and I did not know what would happen even though I did. It’s a conundrum.

At the end of the day that poem still applies and makes a valid point. If you keep your faith then you will one day receive and experience what you can achieve if you believe.

To achieve success brings about much stress

Constantly trying hard to come up and do your best

Nevertheless, fortune will bring its rewards in time

The thunderstorm will vanish, bringing along sunshine

You must believe in yourself cause it’s all on you

To go into the world and make your dreams come true

No one said it would be easy cause it’s full of pain

But who can hold you down if you continue to maintain

Strive to get back what you earned from your struggle

The older you become, the more you have to juggle

Pay taxes and bills that keep coming more and more

Every time you finish on thing, you open another door

Enter another maze but don’t know where to go next

And everything you do will have some effect

Some will be positive and yes some will be negative

I won’t stop until I have finally become superlative

Life is hard but you have to carry on staying strong

If you feel you are right when they all say you’re wrong

Cause nobody knows the extent of your specific plan

Grow up from a child to a grown man or woman

Working for a living everyday of your stressful life

Looking for a home to live in for you and husband or wife

But who will be your mate, it’s difficult to choose

Some say it doesn’t matter cause you will still lose

If you keep your faith then you will one day receive

And experience what you can achieve if you believe
