No internet blues

The art is all that is left

Life has been filled with many endings and new beginnings. As we have faced this month of September, it was the ending of our storefront location, in Spring Branch, Northwest Houston Texas. Pearls and Airbrush have stepped back to opening up in our previous business location three years ago.

Starting over has not been easy. There has been several challenges we overcame, such as raising all the income needed for us to keep our home. As we saved our home, we have also been painting and fixing the house on repairs that were long overdue. And soon as we accomplished those tasks, we were faced with the whole moving out of the shop issue. We had finished cleaning up and then saw a mess from all the boxes and everything else in the shop. I started building a new shop in the back of the house the best I could as fast as I could. I still need to work on the ceiling and floor.

Through this entire changes, we have been without internet since maybe the beginning of September. Finally that issue has been resolve, and here I am typing away again.

Definitely do NOT miss all the negativity shared on the net but such important dates as birthdays and major events in life updates from being online, I did miss. In fact, I missed National Daughter’s Day yesterday, September 25th. Honestly I did not know they had a special day celebrating daughters. I am sure my baby girl growing up ready for the world, understands the situation. She always forgot Father’s Day until recently, so it’s all good. I’m joking, but definitely will make it a point to acknowledge it today and next year. I am so proud of my daughter, Tatianna Pearl, who gave my granddaughter the same middle name. and her entire business on her middle name, which is a name that has been passed down from her German side, Tatianna’s great great Grandma Pearl. I think I got the title right, will need to check with Ms. Fechner.
Honestly, I celebrate having my daughter, granddaughter and mother in my life everyday. It is always a joy spending time with them. I truly believe that Tati saved my life several times.I was in a wrong path many times in my youth, lost and angry for many reasons; shitty pops, getting stabbed, fuckup gov, heartbreaks and others I have forgotten about. One thing that I was never really angry about was that her mom left Tatianna with me since she was one year old. To see my grandbaby Pearl at one year old right now is a total blessing. Many people always tell me that I look too young to have a teenage daughter, and now a granddaughter, LOL. Feels good and I feel so much gratitude for having both of them in my life as I watch them grow.
I have learned to think and feel like a mother and a father, which is an opportunity many men do not get a chance to. It has definitely made me think differently. At all the parties my mother invites us to, I usually prefer to hang out with all the ladies talking about children then hanging out with the men talking about shooting the bull.
Pearls Beauty and Airbrush is the company that I am partnering with my daughter, to help her business grow by helping her name become recognized. You can call me #AlexAirbrushLuna, Airtek Entertainment, Airbrush Tekniques, or Artistic Fantasies, I own them all. However, it is I, the artist with over umpteen years experience, that people look for. So I am down to work for my daughter, so that PEARLS will have a good initiation to this world of business. So I might have not celebrated Daughter’s Day before, but I am definitely celebrating my daughter and grandbaby Pearls everyday. I love y’all Pearls!
