Writing Her Tomorrow – Traveling Trails 10

Ending of Then the morning comes – Traveling Trails 9

There was a bit of yelling, quick flashes of light coming in and dark taking over. Panic. What is going on? Everything shuts down!

Then the morning comes. The rooster does the wake up call. She wakes up covering her ears and sitting up on her bed. She wakes up terrified, not knowing where she is or where is everyone else that she knows. It is still quite dark in her room, and she hears no other noise, until her ears focus a little and she hears a snore. She tries to trace where the waves are coming from. She looks to the floor and sees Leo laying on the floor face up, passed out from drinking.

Writing Her Tomorrow

What does she remember she thought to herself. She looked around getting up realizing she had nothing but the sheet that she dragged across the room accidentally kicking Leo who just turned and snarled in his sleep. She grabs a pen and pad and runs back to her bed and began to write:

I walk in this path full of beauty. He tells me he is excited to show me around and he had been waiting for me. There were towers of fresh vegetables that surrounded our path. I tell him how fascinating they look. The smells that I came across were amazing. I had no words that could possibly explain the feeling and awe that I felt. As he walked in front of me leading the way and talking about something, I couldn’t help but wish that one of my many friends that started this trip would have made it here with me. They would say they cannot believe that I was right the whole time. But none. Not one of them were here with me now.
I asked if I was dead. He chucked and replied he was sure he was not, did not know about me. He assured me though that it would not be a good story to have her go so far only to die. At least it shouldn’t be from my perspective.

I state that it is not that I want to die, it just seems very ironic that I should be the only one able to see what I had been talking about when I first started my journey. I saw it in my head and it just seemed so amazing. I felt I had to come. I started alone and ended alone. There were many who traveled with me. Some that stuck with me like flies. I could easily be dead I thought. You could easily be alive, he told me. It could be a dream, it could be reality. A wave a potentials, what does that even mean?
Even when I tried to make out the details of his face, I only heard his voice. Everywhere I looked there was protection. There was protection on a table to my left as we walked past the greenhouse. We walk through a foggy place as he asks me about my journey and asked how long had I been traveling. He opens a fogged door and we enter a room with an astrological path that we followed, leading us to a dark hallway. Soon we entered a paradise room in which he opens a door for me to walk out of. It happened so fast and I tried to remember as much as I could from the whole walk. I woke up in this room with Leo on the floor.

Truth or Fiction

The situation she finds herself in is as foreign as the one she wrote about. The night before was unlike any night she had before. She is a traveler from Central America walking a path of unknown where nothing seems normal. Her travel seems to be more of search for comfort more than anything. She wanted to feel safe and comfortable.
Imagine, or recall, a journey far away from home. You are set off to make a new home somewhere that you decide to settle. But until you settle you don’t know for sure. You have an idea, a vision, a dream.
If your dreams feel so real and you wake up to a new situation every morning, would it be a challenge to be able to tell truth from fiction?

She wonders what’s behind the next door as she puts the pen down and becomes aware of her surroundings where her friend’s snore is the loudest thing in the room. She gets dressed and opens the bedroom door.

“Good afternoon sunshine! All of your other friends have been up for hours, the only two asleep are you two in there! Door was locked.”

Obviously he was exaggerating because the sun had just come up, but now that she was outside the room she could hear noises of people working outside. She saw the young girl that she had heard the night before walking away to another part of the house as the old man continued to bitch about them getting up late. She looked at him with a questionable face as she told him that she did not agree to work for him. They all insisted that she take a break so she did, and she was now ready to leave now. There was a path she must follow.

“What do you think you are doing?”

A noise is heard somewhere in the house as if a startled person dropped something that broke. But before we get to that.

A complete recap from The Next Chapter, Traveling Trails 7, in order to have a good few minutes to listen to on the next podcast.

7. The Next Chapter

“Go enjoy the party” she says to him. ” I need time to sit and think to myself. For the first time in your life you are right youngster!” She smiled and watched all the guys sitting there drinking Coronas and Modelos, laughing and telling jokes to each other. She had not seen this side of them, truly, as it is in this very moment. She sees them similar to the farm animals all gathered around making noises. Maybe the animals act like men. Or maybe it is men that act…
